FIELD TRIP:

The Alternative Energy Committee organized a field trip to Massachusetts Maritime Academy in Bourne on May 1 to view the school's renewable energy portfolio which consists of: wind, solar, microturbines, tidal and more. The tripwas geared towards providing town officials and other interested parties information on emerging renewable technologies. There is no other location anywhere nationally that has saved more energy dollars via alternative energy sources than MMA MMA's equipment includes:
a. 660kW Vestas Wind Turbine
b. Photovoltaic on the Dorms
c. Solar powered streetlights
d. Combined Heat & Power micro turbines
e. Tidal generation
